National Champs recieve VIP Access at British Grand Prix

Dated: 14/06/2006

F1 in Schools National Champions, Bradfield Panthers travelled to Silverstone race circuit to be guests of Formula One at the British Grand Prix on Friday, enjoying the privilege of seeing behind the scenes at this premier British sporting event.

The team of 14-15 year old students were given VIP passes to the Formula One paddock and were able to see all the teams take part in the practise sessions for this year’s British Grand Prix. The Panthers visited the pits and were given guided tours of some of the teams’ garages. They also had a unique inside view of Formula One hospitality, including a game of table football in Red Bull Racing’s ‘Energy Station’.

Andrew Denford, Founder of F1 in Schools, said of the welcome given to the students in the F1 paddock, “The Formula One community gave the students such a warm welcome and a unique insight into the technical aspects of a Formula One car. Bradfield Panthers had a once-in-a-lifetime day which I know they will all remember for a very long time. Our thanks are extended to everyone in the Formula One paddock who made this possible”
