CHINA & MALAYSIA
Another of our collaboration teams come from Malaysia and China in the form of Velionne Racing. A huge asset to Velionne racing has been their collaboration with the University of Malaysia of Pahang with whom they created Velionne Plastic: a new type of plastic to build the wings and wheels of their cars. As well as this achievement, they have started their own ‘first touch program’ with the aim of helping students who are interested in joining the F1 in Schools program. A huge setback for the team came in December of 2020 when floods hit one of their schools, destroying all of their work they had completed so far. They did not let this dampen their spirits and have come back fighting – we are excited to have you team Velionne!
