DECALS

4/12/2022

CLARIFICATION RECEIVED 29/03/2022

When finalising our car for the World Finals we had a question on rule T.4.4. The rule states that the decal has to be "100% visible in the respective side view within a tolerance of ±10 degrees in any direction measured parallel to the vertical reference plane." We were wondering whether the measurement of  ±  10° is referring to the incline at any point of the sidepod specifically

CLARIFICATION PROVIDED 06/04/2022

T4.4   F1 in Schools™ logo decal location – [GENERAL | Penalty – 5pts]
An F1 in Schools logo decal (refer ARTICLE T1.12) must be wholly adhered to each side of the car, positioned between the front and rear wheels and being 100% visible in the respective side view within a tolerance of ±10 degrees in any direction measured parallel to the vertical reference plane. Teams may manufacture their own decals but must use the artwork supplied by F1 in Schools.

The rule committee clarifies:
The inclined surface cannot be more than +/- 10 deg to the Vertical Reference Plane that the decal it is being adhered to. If the surface is curved then the diagram below would apply.
